FMRHS Renovation

The FMRHS Renovation Committee has brought forward a plan at a total cost of $4.5 million. The focus of the renovation includes updating vocational and science classrooms, code compliance, new boiler and heating system controls, renovating existing physical education and athletic locker rooms, and a new roof.

Should voters approve the renovation in March, funding would come from three sources--$1.5 million from the high school capital reserve fund, $2.5 million from the New Hampshire school building aid program, with the principal balance of $544,103 spread over the six-year life of the bond. Previously the school board had voted to take $1.4 million from the capital reserve. By increasing the amount withdrawn from the fund by $100,000, the cost to taxpayers drops significantly

Members of the Committee include Gabriel St. Pierre, School Board Member and Chair; Chas Street, School Board Member; Mark Edson, David Westover; Herb Hurlbert; Steve Varone; Donn Lounsbury, and Warren Stevens.

Other members include Tom Ronning, Principal; Jamie Teague, Business Administrator; Bill Botting, Director of Facilities; and Debra Livingston, Superintendent.
