Tech Skills For Support Staff

The Technology Committee recognizes that the term support staff refers to a wide range of job positions that includes bus drivers, food service, custodians, and maintenance among others. Therefore, the responsibilities listed here are the bare minimum that all staff should be proficient in and will vary according to specific job assignment.

Support staff must be able to:

  • Log into their district email
  • Use email effectively, including being able to add an attachment
  • Use software programs required to do your job effectively. (ex. Meals Plus, Maintenance Direct)
  • Enter in an absence request into Subfinder
  • Navigate to the district website
  • Locate district forms
  • Identify who you can go to for assistance or to improve your technology skills

The following skills below are recommended for all support staff but are required for paraprofessionals, aides and secretaries.
