update

During the School Board meeting held on June 22, 2026, the Board discussed the district's leadership structure for the 2026–2027 school year.

For the upcoming school year, the Board intends to conduct a search for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This individual will work closely with district leadership, the School Board, and community stakeholders to support the operational and strategic needs of the district. During the public meeting, the Board discussed the following desired qualifications for the CEO position:

  • Masters Degree in Education, Finance and/or Organizational Leadership

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Education, Finance and/or Organizational Leadership

  • Demonstrated experience in executive or high-level organizational leadership.

  • New Hampshire experience is preferred.

  • Strong strategic planning and operational management skills.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with governing boards and administrative teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in organizational restructuring.

  • Time commitment of no less than 3 days per week (on site)

  • Commitment to the values and goals of the Fall Mountain Regional School District.

The Board plans to maintain its regular meeting schedule throughout the summer, meeting on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Additional updates regarding the CEO search will be shared as the process moves forward, with the goal of having an individual selected and in place by mid-August.

As the Board advances this process, maintaining stability and continuity for students, staff, and families remains a top priority. To ensure a smooth transition, Christopher Young will continue to serve as the district's Senior Educational Official, maintaining responsibility for educational leadership, student achievement, instructional programming, and compliance with state educational requirements. In addition, Mr. Young will oversee the district's day-to-day operations throughout the summer and will continue to provide operational leadership when the CEO is not onsite throughout the school year. He will work collaboratively with district administrators and the CEO to ensure the continued success of district initiatives and the effective operation of the district.

Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and schools.
